Help make childhood memories happy memories

Do you remember when you were just a child, carefree with all the world to explore; and going to school and seeing your friends, many of which have become friends for life. Do you remember going on a holiday with the family, even just a day trip to the beach or mountains and the games you used to play in the car to pass the time?

Last year, Churches of Christ Care Pathways programs provided foster and kinship care to 2724 children and young people, residential care for 102 young people, and assisted 46 young people through its semi-independent living program.

For as little as $10 you can offer a family support and help both the carer and the children lead full and happy lives. Your donation will allow families to plan and afford for the little extras that all of us take for granted, the things that make our memories of our childhood and younger years so special. It could be a new outfit for a school social, tickets to the movies with friends or even something as simple as fuel for a trip to the beach.

Stevie at age 12 had already been expelled from two schools …

After running away from several foster homes, Stevie met Dianne, his new specialist foster carer. It took all of Dianne’s strength and perseverance but she finally made an emotional breakthrough with Stevie. Now Stevie’s ambition is to become a youth worker and to help young people who find themselves in situations like his.
