Applying for the National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS)
NRAS provides affordable, long-term rental accommodation targeted at low to middle income earners. Churches of Christ Care manages NRAS properties in various locations throughout South East and West Queensland. NRAS rents are based on a discounted commercial rate.
Applicants wishing to apply for a National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS) property must first be approved by the Department of Communities – Housing and Homelessness Services to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria.
Once applicants are approved for the scheme they can apply to Churches of Christ Care Housing services for available properties which are advertised.
- NRAS Tenancy Application Form (complete a separate form for each adult applicant – eg. 2 adults require 2 applications form
- Churches of Christ Care Housing NRAS Privacy Disclaimer (this form allows us to obtain rental references from your previous Landlord/s)
- Churches of Christ Care Care Housing Pet Application Form (One form per each adult. NB: Complete this form for your pets to be considered or approved)
- NRAS Declaration Form (This form must be signed and returned to Care Housing).
