Engelsburg Aged Care Facility is located in the township of Kalbar (Kalbar was originally named Engelsburg) and is managed by Fassifern Aged Care Services. Engelsburg Aged Care Facility was built in keeping with the rural community and residential setting in which it is located. The landscaped gardens and outdoor walkways create an inviting welcome to all.

Accommodation facilities

Engelsburg Aged Care Facility provides low care accommodation for 10 residents in a ‘house model’ home. Engelsburg is designed to promote a homelike environment where residents are encouraged to maintain their independence. The house provides residents with the privacy of individual rooms which all have ensuite facilities. Residents are encouraged to individualise their rooms with their personal belongings. Engelsburg is climate controlled for residents’ comfort. The ambience of a homelike environment is enhanced with a wood burning heater in the family room. The home style kitchen is where all meals are prepared and then served in the spacious family rooms. The lounge room and dining room offer private, comfortable areas for residents to entertain visiting family and friends.

Personal care services

Although our residents are encouraged to maintain independence with their everyday living tasks, if extra assistance is needed our staff are able to help with personal hygiene, medication, dressing, dementia and emotional support, mobility, meal assistance, rehabilitation, communication and socialisation support.
