Churches of Christ Care Marana Gardens Aged Care Services
Marana Gardens Aged Care Services is set among well maintained gardens at Southport, close to the heart of the ever-popular Gold Coast. The facility is only three kilometres south from the Broadwater and approximately 65 kilometres south of Brisbane. This 71-bed hostel facility provides in-house caring for people who are elderly and/or have a disability, in eight self-contained houses.
Accommodation facilities
Seventy-one residents with high and low care needs enjoy living in the eight ‘house model’ homes at Marana Gardens Aged Care Services, this is made up of 43 high care and 28 low care places including one respite bed and 18 dementia placements. Each resident can personalise their bedrooms with furniture and photos etc. These rooms have their own ensuite, wall heater, ceiling fan and an emergency call system. Plugs are provided for small appliances, telephone and UHF television aerials. Each house has a large home style kitchen, family room and formal dining room which are all tastefully furnished.
Personal care services
Although our residents are encouraged to maintain independence with their everyday living tasks if extra assistance is needed our staff are able to help with personal hygiene, medication, dressing, dementia and emotional support, mobility, meal assistance, special diets, short term illness, rehabilitation, communication and socialisation support.
