Churches of Christ Care Yapunyah Aged Care Facility

Yapunyah Aged Care Facility is located in Cunnamulla, 972km west of Brisbane. The town has a distinct country atmosphere with tree lined streets and old style hotels, which have remained unchanged for over half a century. Yapunyah offers low care, including support for one respite position, to 12 residents enjoying the personalised care offered in this small aged care facility.

Accommodation facilities

Yapunyah Aged Care Facility offers low level care to residents who are provided with their own air conditioned room and ensuite. Each room has direct access to both inside and outside areas of the service. Residents and their families are invited to participate in all aspects of the aged care service. Midday meals are delivered from the nearby hospital, with other meals being prepared by staff in the Yapunyah kitchen. Yapunyah residents enjoy spacious shared areas, including dining, lounge and quiet indoor or outdoor sitting areas.

Personal care services

Although our residents are encouraged to maintain independence with their everyday living tasks if extra assistance is needed our staff are able to help with personal hygiene, medication, dressing, dementia and emotional support, mobility, meal assistance, rehabilitation, communication and socialisation support.
