Nestled in spacious grounds in the southern Brisbane suburb of Acacia Ridge, Brig-O-Doon Retirement Village offers quality villa-style accommodation. This small and intimate village encourages friendships with neighbours yet also allows you to retain your independence. Attractive landscaped gardens surround the Brig-O-Doon complex, which is conveniently located close to shopping facilities and transport. Opened in 1975 in Yeronga, the Brig-O-Doon complex was transferred to the current site in 1994 and has grown as the needs of the local community have changed. The complex now includes nine villas for independent living and is situated on the same site as a residential facility which includes a nursing home.
Community focus
There are always plenty of activities to take part in at Brig-O-Doon Retirement Village. The adjoining residential facility has regular activities, concerts and barbeques and they extend their invitation to the retirement village residents, who are welcome to attend at any time. A calendar of monthly events for the residential facility is distributed to all retirement village residents. You can enjoy the best of both worlds at Brig-O-Doon Retirement Village – there is so much to do and share, but you can also retain your independence and your connections with the wider community.
