Crows Nest Retirement Village

Crows Nest, a sought after retirement haven situated a pleasant 40-minute drive north of Toowoomba, is home to quality independent living units at Crows Nest Retirement Village. Pechey Lodge provides 12 units in the grounds of the Crows Nest Care Services which provides both high and low care for residents. The origins of quality care for seniors in Crows Nest can be traced back to the formation of the Crows Nest and District Co-operative Hospital Society in 1949. This community based organisation established a community private hospital in 1951. When a new hospital building was erected in 1972 it was decided to establish a nursing home in the old building. This plan came to fruition in 1974 and the aged care service has grown from that time. Churches of Christ Care commenced management of the day-to-day operations of the community owned facility in 2003.
Community focus
There is always plenty to do at Crows Nest Retirement Village and you are welcome to join in as many or as few activities as you choose. The Kooltoopa Kookaburra Club has been operating for many years and offers a wide range of activities such as bus trips and outings. You can enjoy the best of both worlds at Crows Nest Retirement Village – there is so much to do and share, but you can also retain your independence and your connections with the wider community.
