Amaroo Gatton and District Retirement Village

Nestled in the beautiful Lockyer Valley, Amaroo Gatton and District Retirement Village is easily accessible from Brisbane and Toowoomba. The village is set in native bush surroundings on the south side of Gatton and offers a very relaxed lifestyle with typical country hospitality. It is close to Lake Apex Bird Sanctuary with its picnic facilities and walking tracks. In 1977, two independent living units were constructed and the site was named ‘Amaroo’ meaning ‘beautiful resting place’. Today, the retirement village has eight independent living units, with more being planned, allowing it to offer services to a greater number of people in the Gatton district. The village is situated on the same site as a residential facility which has both high and low care beds.
Community focus
As a resident of the Amaroo Gatton and District Retirement Village, you are invited to participate in the activities program conducted on site. A monthly calendar of activities is delivered to each unit, so you can choose the activities you prefer. You can enjoy the best of both worlds at Amaroo Gatton and District Retirement Village – there is so much to do and share, but you can also retain your independence and your connections with the wider community.
