Our residents can relax in friendly and welcoming surroundings at Moonah Park Aged Care Services. Located in the convenient suburb of Mitchelton, 91 residents live in three low care homes at Moonah Park Aged Care Services. The facility is close to Brookside Shopping Centre, public transport and local parks.
An extra 60 beds were completed in September 2009. This two storey building offers both high and low care beds and is available for residents to move in to.
Accommodation facilities
Each ‘house model’ home provides spacious bedrooms, all with private ensuite facilities. Rooms also have built-in wardrobes, ceiling fans, wall heaters and an emergency call system. Each house is self-contained with a large kitchen and family room, lounge and formal dining room as well as a domestic laundry. Each house has airconditioned hallways and communal areas. Moonah Park has beautiful lawns and gardens, and a gazebo for residents to relax in. One respite room is also available.
The new development will have individual rooms with ensuites and airconditioning.
Personal care services
Our residents are encouraged to maintain independence with their everyday living tasks. However, if an assessment reveals extra assistance is needed, Care staff are available to help with showering , personal hygiene, medication, dressing, dementia and emotional support, mobility, meal assistance, special diets, rehabilitation, communication and short-term illness.
There are also six Independent Living Units in the grounds, and a range of individually tailored Community Aged Care Packages are managed from the Moonah Park facility.
