Warrawee Aged Care Services is located in the farming district of St George on the Balonne River. Wide open spaces and spacious grounds are enjoyed by the 35 low care residents in the facility.
Accommodation facilities
Warrawee Aged Care Services provides single, ensuited rooms for 35 residents. Accommodation is arranged in houses, named after Australian trees. Each house has spacious shared areas and easy access to the gardens and grounds. Mulga House is a free-standing, 11-bed house, set in the spacious Warrawee grounds. Residents of Mulga enjoy having their meals cooked in their own kitchen while laundry and cleaning are also managed within Mulga. All residents have their own ensuite, built-in wardrobe, fan, heater and television connection. Coolibah-Kurrajong comprises 14 ensuited bedrooms, each with built-in wardrobe, fan, heater and television connection. Residents share their meals in the main dining room. A secure 10-bed unit named Cypress House meets the needs of people needing specialised care. Residents of Cypress have their meals in their own dining room, which are cooked in the main kitchen. Cypress residents enjoy access to a secure outdoor garden area including a covered barbeque area.
Personal care services
Our residents are encouraged to maintain independence with their everyday living tasks. However, if an assessment reveals extra assistance is needed, Care staff are able to help with personal hygiene, medication, dressing, dementia and emotional support, mobility, meal assistance, rehabilitation, communication and socialisation support.
