Fair Haven Hervey Bay Aged Care Facility - Wide Bay beckons
Situated on 40 acres in a peaceful semi-rural part of Hervey Bay, Fair Haven is ideally located for those who wish to escape the hassles of a busy suburban life, yet still maintain easy access to local community activities. The facility caters for a total of 44 low and high care residents. A picturesque setting is created by the prominent water feature surrounded by walking platforms and gazebos for residents and their families to watch the water birds whilst enjoying the cool breezes.
Accommodation facilities
The facility consists of four 11-bed houses, each with their own lounge and dining room and full kitchen. These areas are also air-conditioned to provide a comfortable environment for residents. Residents have their own private rooms with ensuite facilities. All bedrooms have built-in wardrobes, curtains, ceiling fans, wall heaters and emergency call systems (both in the bedroom and ensuite). Points are provided for small appliances,UHF television aerials and telephone. Residents are asked to furnish their own rooms with furniture suited to their own taste. The warm and cosy home environment throughout adds a special touch of comfort. A formal lounge and dining area is available to residents and can be used for family gatherings such as birthday or anniversary celebrations. Our air-conditioned activities hall regularly houses concerts, indoor games and various activities to entertain residents.
Personal care services
Our residents are encouraged to maintain independence with their everyday living tasks. However, if an assessment reveals extra assistance is needed, Care staff are available to help with showering, personal hygiene, medication, dressing, dementia and emotional support, mobility, meal assistance, special diets, rehabilitation, communication and short-term illness.
