Gracehaven Lutheran Homes offers accommodation for 107 high and low care residents. Established in 1983, the facility is located in the heart of Bundaberg and offers residents peaceful living in a leafy setting. In July 2008, Churches of Christ Care (Care) commenced management of Gracehaven Lutheran Homes.
Hostel
Accommodation facilities
The 45-bed hostel is tastefully furnished with comfortable lounge and dining areas. Residents have their own private room with ensuite, wall heater, ceiling fan and emergency call system. Plugs are provided for small appliances, telephone and UHF television aerials. Ample wardrobe and storage area is provided. Residents are encouraged to personalise the room with their own furniture and belongings.
The hostel includes 16 beds for residents with special care needs.
Personal care services
Our residents are encouraged to maintain independence with their everyday living tasks. However, if an assessment reveals extra assistance is needed, care staff are available to help with showering, personal hygiene, medication, dressing, dementia and emotional support, mobility, meal assistance, special diets, rehabilitation, communication and short-term illness.

Accommodation facilities
Every effort has been made to create a ‘homelike environment’ for the 62 residents in our facility. There are several attractive lounge areas and pleasant outdoor living spaces. A heater, ceiling fan, telephone socket, television point and power point are provided for each resident. All residents have access to the nurse call system. Residents are encouraged to make their room personal by bringing with them pictures and other personal effects.
Personal care services
Registered nurses and personal care staff are available to render 24-hour assistance to residents with every aspect of their daily needs. We embrace the philosophy of person-centred care.
