Maryborough and Districts Family Day Care is a not-for-profit, community based scheme providing quality care for children from birth to teenage years.  Parents, carers and coordinators work together to provide quality child care and parents are able to choose the carer who best suits their needs and the needs of their child.

Child care is provided in the homes of engaged carers in the suburbs of Maryborough and surrounding districts.  The service provides monitored care within a family environment in the approved homes of registered carers. The carers are engaged to look after up to four children under school age and three school age children.  For more information about Care's family day care schemes, please click here.

The scheme operates as part of the Family Care Services Centre in Maryborough, which also incorporates the Maryborough Family Support Service and In-Home Child Care Wide Bay.

Hours of care

The hours of care are flexible and can be matched to your family's needs.  The type of care provided includes:

• full time
• part time
• casual
• before/after school
• vacation
• weekend or overnight.

National Standards

Maryborough and Districts Family Day Care works to Australia's National Standards for Family Day Care developed by the Commonwealth and State/Territory Governments.  These standards determine the minimum requirements for providing a safe, nurturing and developmental child care environment.

 

Quality Assurance

Maryborough and Districts Family Day Care is assessed and accredited under the National Family Day Care Quality Assurance system, which ensures all family day care services meet quality standards beyond the minimum requirements.
