Care has an in-home care service operating from Maryborough as part of the Family Care Services Centre. In-Home Child Care Wide Bay is a not-for-profit, community based service providing professional, flexible childcare in the family home to families whose care needs cannot be met by mainstream services. It is funded by the Federal Government and families are eligible to apply for the Child Care Benefit.
The In-Home Child Care Wide Bay service provides care for children in their own home by approved carers. This enables children to experience stability and security in their familiar family environment. Care is available for children from 0 to 16 years of age.
Carers from the In-Home Child Care Wide Bay service are assessed by staff, and eligible parents are able to choose the carer who best suits both their child’s and their own needs. The hours of care are flexible and can be matched to a family’s needs. Places can be accessed throughout Queensland. Clients in rural and remote areas may access our in-home care places through a brokerage arrangement managed by Maryborough.
In-Home Child Care Wide Bay operates as part of the Family Care Services Centre in Maryborough which also incorporates the Maryborough and Districts Family Day Care Scheme and Family Support Service.
