Early Childhood

Churches of Christ Care (Care) is one of Queensland’s leading providers of high quality, accredited child care services, and operates 21 licensed and accredited services for children from birth to 16 years.

All services are community-based and focus on supporting children learn through play, to explore, problem solve and to meet challenges through hands-on experiences. Programs are individualised and family involvement is encouraged at all Care early childhood services.

While Christian values of kindness and acceptance are reflected in the supportive, loving environment created for the children, all of Care’s early childhood services are non-denominational and celebrate cultural diversity. Care’s early childhood services include:

Kindergarten and preschool programs are currently being provided at our long day care centres. Care’s early childhood programs for 4-5 year olds focus on a pre-prep program to ensure smooth transition into the compulsary preparatory year in Queensland schools.

Care’s early childhood services are accredited with the National Child Care Accreditation Council.  Care receives accreditation through Family Day Care Quality Assurance (FDCQA), the Quality Improvement and Accreditation System (QIAS), and Quality Assurance (QA).

In addition to early childhood services, Care provides parenting support and education programs for families using the services. Support is based on interests and needs identified by families in local communities. We recognise and value the role of families and the wider community in educating and caring for young children and preparing them to become life long learners.
