Affordable Housing
Affordable Housing is long and short term rental housing available to low-income households at a discounted commercial rate. Eligibility is the same as for social housing and rent rates are calculated at 74.9% of the commercial rate for that type of property in any locality, whilst ensuring that eligible households rent does not exceed 30% of gross income. All Affordable Housing is subject to duration of need reassessed every four years.
Community Rent Scheme

Long Term Community Housing
Long Term Community Housing is available for families or individuals who have special needs and have been unable to access private or departmental social housing. Rent rates are calculated at 25% of the household’s assessable income.
Community-Managed Housing Studio Units
The Community Managed Studio Units program provides long-term accommodation for single people, couples and single parents on low incomes who are homeless, at risk of becoming homeless or are discriminated against in the private housing market.
