Applicants for housing in the Affordable Housing, Community-Managed Studio Units, Community Rent Scheme and Long Term Community Housing programs must register with the Department of Communities, Housing and Homelessness Services and indicate that you are interested in being considered for Community Housing. All Care Housing vacancies for these programs are filled from the Housing Register held by the Department of Communities. Eligibility criteria are as per the Department of Communities - Housing and Homelessness Services.

Applicants for the Community Rent Scheme must submit a copy of their Department of Communities Application for Housing Assistance and a letter of approval from the Department of Communities, Housing and Homelessness Services to our Ipswich office. This can be faxed by the Department or submitted in person. Eligibility is determined with the Department of Communities, Housing and homelessness Services eligibility criteria (click link to see these criteria).
Applicants for supported accommodation through the Crisis Accommodation Program can phone a Care Housing regional office and ask to be listed on the waitlist database. No guarantee of accommodation can be made and housing is very limited.
Only those who have been assessed as suitable participants and referred by the Drug Court magistrate under an Intensive Drug Rehabilitation Order are eligible for allocation to Drug Court Residential Program Properties.
