Pathways

The Pathways program offers much needed individualised assistance to children who, due to various circumstances, cannot stay at home.  Neglect, abuse, or parents unable to offer a suitable environment, are all factors which the Child Protection Act seeks to avoid by placing children in safe, nurturing environments.

As one of the largest non-government providers of child protection services in Queensland, Pathways offers a range of services to protect children and young people from harm.  These services including foster and kinship care (general and specialist fostering services), respite care for carers, residential accommodation for young people between the ages of 12 and 17 years, and assessment and intervention services including family reunification.

At any given time, we have approximately 550 children in foster care, and every year we help almost 2,500 children.
