Child protection and the provision of safe, nurturing foster care are critically under-resourced in Queensland. Our work in this area provides a vital safety net for children in need. The demand for social housing in Queensland far exceeds its availability and Care plays a significant role in providing housing for low income and high needs groups. Care's Family and Community Care services include:
Care is a major provider of child protection and housing services for families and young people in crisis in Queensland. Our Family and Community Care Division provides services for children and young people within the child protection system as well as crisis and transitional accommodation, and affordable housing and support services for individuals and families in need.
